The Unknown and Delightful Karapura Are Malappa Betta is about 69km from Mysuru, located in Basavanapura village. Ideal place for photography and short trekking. There are multiple ways to trek to the top. There is Sri Are Maleshwara Swamy Temple at the top of the hill and the idol is udhbhava murthy. The view from above is jaw breaking, especially the surrounding hills and the clouds. There are multiple mining places that is covered with water. Ancient Sculptures can be seen here.
