The Unknown and Heavenly Ancient Sri Nandeeshwara Gavimata is about 51km from Mysuru, 17km from Begur village. The speciality of this place is that the Lamp in front of Lord Shiva Linga inside the cave temple is visible between the right ear and horn of Nandi God idol which is outside the temple. The road to this place is good with beautiful Nature all around. One needs to walk few steps to reach the temple. The place is surrounded by huge rock, one can trek around the hill. It is believed that there is a tunnel about 1.4km long from the cave temple which reaches Maleyur village which was used by Swamy/Muni during Ancient period.
