The Unknown and Paradise Sri Hemagiri Mallikarjuna Swamy Betta is about 154km from Mysuru, 1km from Mallappanahalli village. There is good thar road that leads to the below of the hill. One needs to climb few stone steps to reach to the top of the hill. The stone steps are covered with sheets above. While climbing to the top the view of lake next to the hill is breathtaking. Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Cave temple is present at the top. The temple is believed to be of Chola Dynasty. The view from above is calm, peaceful. Overall the blessings of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and the short climbing experience makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
