The Unknown and Magnificent Koonagal Betta is about 53km from Bengaluru, 7km from S.R.S Betta. Ideal place for Trekking. One can reach the top via muddy road which requires a powerful BHP vehicle or via trekking. Thar road is only for a little bit and rest is muddy road. Suggest to trek from below via muddy road as it makes the journey to the top fun. There is Lord Hanuman Temple at the top of the hill which was built by local villages, but the idol seems to exist from the time of Chola Dynasty. The view from top is eye soothing.The view of SRS hill from this top looks as if a gigantic snake is leaning on a hill. The hill is surrounded by forest. Very calm, peaceful and gorgeous place. Overall the wonderful trekking place and the blessings of Lord Hanuman makes this a must visit with friends and Family
