The unknown and Spectacular Konanur Betta is about 40km from Mysuru, located in Chunchanahalli village. Trekking heavenly calm, peaceful and blissful place. One needs to climb the top using stone steps. There are multiple ways to reach the top of the hill but the stone steps that start from a small pond below is advised. The view from top is breathtaking. Ideal place to watch the Sunrise and Sunset. Ancient Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy Temple is present at the top and the idol inside the temple is Udbhava Murthy. Konanur lake below adds a special touch this place. Late night trekking and camping is restricted as the place is covered by forest. Overall the hardcore trekking experience and the blessings of Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy makes this a must visit place with friends and family
