The Unknown and Ancient Heaven Basavanapura Panchalingeshwara Hillock Temple is about 20km from Mysuru, located in Basavanapura village. Place visited by Pandavas and Sri Parashurama. Parashurama foot print is present here. There are four Shiva Linga and one Basava idol, hence the place gets its name Panchalingeshwara Temple. Currently the temple is Under Muzrai and categorised under ‘C’ (temples not generating any revenue to the local government). Hence its a humble request to all the Mysureans and to the people who reside nearby to visit this place in more numbers, so that the basic facilities like water, multiple Archakaru, fast restoration of temple are fulfilled by the local government. Overall the eye soothing, tranquil, mesmerizing nature with abundance ancient history and with the blessings of almighty Lord Eshwara makes this a must visit place with friends and family
