The Gigantic and Unknown Malekallu Tirupathi Hill Temple is about 134km from Mysuru, 4km from Arsikere town. One needs to climb about 1250 stone steps to reach the top of the hill. There are railings for stone steps to ease the climb. The view from above is jaw dropping. Ideal place for trekking and photography. Temple dedicated to Lord Venkataramana and Goddess Padmavathi. Sage Vashishta worshipped Lord Venkataramana Swamy in this place for about 800 years. Lord Venkataramana Swamy appeared and blessed him. The idol of Sri Venkataramana perished under the earth. After thousands of years, the idol was discovered by the Palegar of Chitradurga. The Palegar was guided by Lord Venkataramana in his dreams to build the temple in hilltop. Calm, peaceful and blissful place with eye soothing nature all around. Looking for a hardcore climbing experience, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit with friends and family
