The Unknown and Ancient Heaven Chikkonahalli Amaragiri Gudada Ranganatha Swamy Sukshetra is about 109km from Mysuru, 147km from Bengaluru, located near Chikkonahalli village. There is thar road all the way to the top of the hill. Sri Ranganatha Swamy udhbhava murthy Temple is present at the top. Sri Ranganatha Swamy is believed to have been resting below the temple, hence lot of Treasure exists in this hill and is being guarded by the seven headed snake. There was a 4km Suranga (tunnel) previously from this hill to Chikkonahalli village where another Ranganatha Swamy temple exist. The view from above is eye soothing especially watching the Rayasamudra Kaval Forest. It is also believed that it is not possible to built any house and live around this hill, the previous group of people who tried to live in this hill had to vacate the place due to unavoidable reason. The carvings of Naga Devatas, Elephants, Lions, Birds and other Animals is a treat for the eyes. Overall the blessings of Sri Ranganatha Swamy and the abundance nature surrounding this place makes this a must visit place with friends and families
