The Beautiful and peaceful Kote Betta is about 101km from Mysuru, 267km from Bengaluru, 25km from my Hometown Garvale.Kotebetta measures around 5400 ft and is the 3rd highest peak in Kodagu district after Tadiyandamol and Brahmagiri.The initial phase of your trek takes you through a stunning pathway with Hattihole River on one side and lush greenery on the other side of the trail.Kote Betta means Fort Hill. The trek to the top of Kotebetta is around 10 kms from the base. There is a Shiva temple on the peak of the hill.The view from the top is mindblowing. One can delight in the sweet chirpings of birds and beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges all through the trek. Very scenic place. Overall Kotebetta is an awesome place to trek
