The Unknown and Ravishing Sri Bettada Thimappa Hill Temple is about 65km from Mysuru, located in Danaikanakote village. The ride to this place is eye soothing as the place is covered by forest. From below one needs to trek to the top as there are no roads to reach the top of the hill. Approx 30-45min trek without any break. Lucky me it was raining and i enjoyed every bit of the climb. The view from above is mesmerizing. On the way you can see ancient ruined temple beside a pond. Ancient Sri Thimappa Swamy temple is present at top of the hill and is calm, peaceful, blissful. Forest area hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Ideal place for photography and trekking. Looking for a quick tranquil trekking experience, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit with friends and family
