The Unknown and Little Heaven Sri Shakuni Ranganatha Swamy Betta is about 132km from Mysuru, located in Harlakatta village. There is muddy road that leads to the below of hillock. From there one needs to climb the rocky hillock to reach the top as there are no stone steps or trail. Ancient Sri Shakuni Ranganatha Swamy Temple is present at the top. During Ancient times the udhbhava murthy idol of Sri Shakuni Ranganatha Swamy was present inside a cave. This cave had multiple tunnel that connected different villages, but later the cave got destroyed. Hence a new temple with idol of Sri Shakuni Ranganatha Swamy was built 25years ago. It is believed that treasure exists here and a 7 headed snake guards it. Ideal place for photography and short climb. Overall the blessings of Sri Shakuni Ranganatha Swamy and mesmerizing nature surrounding this place makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
