The unknown and Ancient Ultra Heaven Shri Kashi Vishwanatha Vishalakshi Temple is about 70km from Mysuru, located in Sathegala. There is muddy trail all the way to this place. There are lot of Ancient scupltures present inside the temple. River Kaveri flows beside the temple and is a treat to watch along with the surounding hills. Ideal place to play in the water. Coming to Sri Vedantha Ramanuja Maha Desikan Swamy Tapas on Tortoise place, It is believed that during Tretayugam Lord Sri Rama when in search of Goddess Sita Mathe came to this place & did pinda pradanam ritual for his father Sri Dasharatha Maharaja & this place was considered as Dakshina Gaya. Sri Vedantha Desikar when in search of a place which is secure, selected this place where his favourite Sri Varadaraja Swami & Perundevi Thayar was situated. Here on the banks of Kaveri under peepul tree (Gyanaswat Tam) on Koormasanam Acharya penanced for more than 12 years. Abeethisthva (fear removing) Slokam was composed here. Overall a must visit place with friends and family.
