The Unknown and Little Heaven Sri Gavi Rangappa Cave Temple on a small hillock is about 62km from Mysuru, located in Billenahalli village. The temple is located inside the forest surrounded by hills. The road to this place is good and leads all the way to the cave temple. It is believed that Sri Rangappa swamy turned himself to a young boy and enter the cave, eventually became the whole stone cave temple. Hence this cave temple is worshipped in his name. Lots of cats can be seen inside the temple. Hoskere lake next to this temple, adds a magical touch to this place. One can play and swim in the water. The lake is filled by the water from the hills and rain. One can trek and explore the surrounding hill. Overall the blessings of Sri Gavi Rangappa Swamy and the calm, peaceful , blissful eye soothing nature surrounding this place makes this a must visit picnic place with friends and family
