The Unknown and Marvelous Sri Kashi Vishwanatheshwara Temple on the banks of river Kaveri is about 54km from Mysuru, located in Maranapura village. Ancient Sri Kashi Vishwanatheshwara Temple was built during chola dynasty. The idol inside the temple is Udhbhava Murthy. Ancient scripts and sculpture can be seen here. River Kaveri flows majestically and is blissful to watch. Fishing is done using coracle, nets and angling. Ideal place for swimming and playing in water. One needs to go through a small muddy trail surrounded by eye soothing paddy field to reach this place.
