The Majestic Gudibanda is about 93km from Bengaluru and 243km from Mysuru. This town consists of Gudibande Fort and Bhairasagara lake with sunset view point. Gudibande Fort was built by local chieftain Byre Gowda some 400 odd years ago in the 17th century. The real beauty of the fort lies in exploring all the narrow passageways and hidden corners. The fort has seven levels with interconnecting escape routes which would help soldiers to flee in case of emergency. On the top of the fort is a Shiva temple, which is believed to be one of the 108 Jyotirlingas. There are well built 1000+ steps. The path and the rocks provide beautiful view, especially on top of the fort. View of the lake from top is awesome, and resembles India map. Bhairasagara lake is calm and beautiful with greenery all around. Ideal place to watch the Sun go down. Very pictured location with beautiful landscape. Nature at its best. The drive to this place is good. Overall Gudibande makes an ideal gateway from city busy life and a must visit
