The Unknown and Adventurous Chikkahomma Betta is about 52km from Mysuru, located in Chikkahomma village. Place where Sri Male Mahadeshwara Swamy placed his knee and flew to Male Mahadeshwara Hills. The knee mark of Sri Male Mahadeshwara Swamy is now a pond and the water in the pond is filled throughout the year. The pond might look small, but it has infinite depth. The pond is also called as Karadi Kola means Bear Pond. The pond when looked from above appears to be in the shape of Bear paw. The hill is surrounded by forest and is treat to walk around this place. There is muddy road that leads to the below of the hill, from there one needs to walk few miles to reach the top of the hill. Wild animals like Bison can spotted here, i saw one while coming back from the top of the hill. Hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Ultimate forest bathing place. Have a short day in hand and looking for a quick gateway from city life with blessings of Sri Male Mahadeshwara Swamy, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit with friends and family
