For all you lovely Bengalureans who were asking me for a nearby unknown short trekking place, this one is for you. The Unknown and Gigantic Heaven Andani Gavi/Sri Muneshwara Swamy Cave Hill Temple is about 76km from Bengaluru, 80km from Mysuru, 3km from Boohalli village. There is muddy road that leads all the way to the below of hill. From there one needs to climb few stone steps to reach the top. Sri Muneshwara Swamy udhbhava murthy is present inside the cave. The view from above is eye soothing. Ideal place to watch the Sunrise and for photography. It is believed that during Amavase and Hunime the procession and festival celebration sounds are heard from inside the cave. Also Sri Muneshwara Swamy himself is seen walking around the cave with his hair open. People who have entered the cave years back described that there is a huge open field inside the cave that was mainly used for Festival and Procession celebration purpose during Ancient times. Forest area, hence late night trekking or camping is restricted. Have a short day in hand and looking for a quick getaway from city busy life, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit picnic place with friends and family
