The Unknown and Glorious Betada Thimappa Hillock Temple is about 64km from Mysuru, located in Doddaharanahalli village. There is mud road that leads all the way to the top of the hillock. Ancient Sri Thimappa Swamy Temple and Sri Anjanaya Temple is located at top of the hill and is blissful. The place is surrounded by hills and the view from above is jaw breaking. Ideal place for photography. One can trek and explore further the surrounding hills. Forest area, hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Have a short day in hand and looking for a quick tranquil getaway from city busy life, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit picnic place with friends and family
