The Unknown and Tranquil Heaven Hiregundagallu Hill Sri Gavi Ranganatha Swami Cave Temple is about 80km from Bengaluru, 165km from Mysuru, located in Hiregundagallu village. One needs to go through a small muddy trail between a forest in order to reach this place. There is Forest check post where you need to get permission to trek this hill. Sri Gavi Ranganatha Swami Cave Temple is present at the middle of the hill. Arrows are marked for direction to top. The view from above is calm and refreshing. Kamba is present at the top most part of the hill. Forest area hence late night camping and trekking is restricted. Overall the blessings of Sri Gavi Ranganatha Swami and eye soothing trekking experience makes this a must visit place with friends and family
