The Unknown and Marvelous Angara Mallappa Betta is about 165km from Bengaluru, 86km from Mysuru, located in Kallenahalli Kaval village. There is a small muddy trail that leads to the top of the hill. The view from top is mesmerizing especially watching the Wind power. It is believed that Sri Mallappa Swamy jumped from the nearby hill and placed his foot here and turned himself to Udhbhava Murthy Shiva Linga. Ancient sculptures and footprint of Sri Mallappa Swamy can be seen here. Forest area, ideal place for photography and trekking. Looking for adventure, this is the place to be.
