For all you lovely Mysureans who were asking me for a nearby unknown trekking place, this one is for you. The Unknown and Gigantic Heaven Sri Gavi Rangappa Swamy Gudi is about 53km from Mysuru, located in Muthige village. There is muddy trail to the below of the hill. One needs pass beside a farm field by walk to reach the below of the hill. From below there are huge stone that one needs to climb,go through a small trail and stones that are covered by tress to reach the top. Ancient Sri Gavi Rangappa Cave temple is present at the top. It is believed that a whole kingdom existed inside this cave during Ancient Times. The hill is massive and one can explore further. Forest area hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Ideal place for trekking and photography. The view from above is tranquil. Overall the blessings of Sri Gavi Rangappa Swamy and the quick hardcore trekking experience makes this a must visit picnic place with friends and family
