The Unknown and Ancient Heaven Sri Kote Kallappana Betta is about 115km from Bengaluru, 198km from Mysuru, located in Chickegowdanaroppa village. Legend has it that one of the Lady devotee of Lord Vishnu was blessed with a Baby Boy after months of prayer to Lord Vishnu. After giving birth to Baby Boy nearby, Lord Vishu Chakra in the form of light showed the Lady Devotee on the existence of Lord Vishnu Udhbhava Murthy inside this cave and when she visited this place god Shesha Naga was protecting this place and later god Shesha Naga turned itself into cave. Goddess Sridevi Bhudevi idol and Dvarapalakas Jaya Vijaya idol can be seen here. Temple and fort to have been built during Chola Dynasty and expected to be about 1000 years old. There is thar road all the way to the top. The view from above is jaw breaking. Ideal place for photography. Overall the blessings of Lord Vishnu and the ancient history of this place with eye soothing nature all around makes this a must visit place with friends and family
