The unknown and Little Heaven Sri Shiva Parvathi Temple is about 66km from Mysuru, located in Malarpalya village. There is road that leads to the temple. Legend has it that an elephant kicked a Shiva Linga and later demise in the woods. The elephant then turned into udhbhava murthy which can be seen behind the Shiva Linga inside the temple. It is believed that a snake with a women face is present in this place. The view all around is tranquil. The place is surrounded by hills that are under the watchful eyes of Forest Department. So trekking and camping on these hills is restricted. The Shiva Statue is the main attraction of this place. Sri Parvathi amma, Sri Ganesha and Sri Subramanya Tempel is also present here. 108 Shiva Linga Temple is being constructed. One more speciality of this place is that one can see Sri Chamundi Amma Hills, which is about 64km from this place. Overall the blessings of Almighty Lord Shiva and the calm, peaceful atmosphere of this place makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
