The unknown and little Heaven Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy Hillock Temple is about 115km from Bengaluru, 79km from Mysuru, located in Bettadahalli village. There is thar road all the way to the top of the hillock. The view from above is eye soothing. The lake below adds a special touch to this place. Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy temple is present at the top and the Almighty Shiva Linga idol inside the temple is Udhbhava Murthy. 7 headed snake is believed to have existed here. Sri Basavana Swamy Temple, Sri Anjanaya Swamy Temple and Shree Pataldhama Temple are some other attraction around this hillock. One can swim, fish and play in the lake below. The water in the lake is filled up by rain water. Ideal place for photography. Overall the blessings of Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy and calm, peace surrounding this place makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
