The Unknown and Gigantic Heaven Basvankal Betta is about 126km from Bengaluru, 62km from Mysuru, located in P. Neralakere village. The ride to this place is awesome as one needs to go through the muddy trial Forest area. Below the hill there is Sri Gavi Muthuraya Swamy Cave Temple. The idol inside this temple is udhbhava murthy. From below one needs to trek to the top via huge stones. There is no proper trail to the top, thus making the trek hardcore and fun. The view from above is Jaw breaking and worth the climb. Udhbhava murthy of Sri Basveshwara Swamy is present at the top along with Kamba. Ancient mantap can also be seen at the top. Forest area, hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Ideal place for photography and hardcore trekking. Overall the blessings of Sri Basveshwara Swamy, Sri Muthuraya Swamy and tranquil nature all around makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
