There are two hills namely Dodabetta and another Chikkabetta. Gavi Sri Mahadeshwara cave temple is present in Dodabetta and Sri Gavi Rudraswamy cave temple is present in Chikkabetta. Both hills are at a difference of few meters from one another. Nature at its best. There is muddy road that leads to Dodabetta. For Gavi Sri Rudraswamy cave temple one needs to through the paddy fields and climb few meters to reach the Gavi Sri Mahadeshwara cave temple. One can trek further above on both of the hills. The view from above is calm, peaceful and eye soothing. Forest area, hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Ancient place where Rushi Muni have performed Tapas. There is a Suranga from Gavi Sri Mahadeshwara cave temple to Mallapura village. Lot of bats is present in Gavi Sri Mahadeshwara cave temple. Ancient temple believed to be built during chola dynasty. Ideal place for trekking and photography.
