The Unknown and Majestic Thanglittina Mallapana Betta is about 42km from Mysuru, located in Channavadeyanapura village. What to say an amazing eye soothing heavenly trekking place. There are only stone steps to reach the top of the hill. The climb to the top is fun and challenging. The view from above is breathtaking and mesmerising. There is an Ancient temple at top of the hill. Almighty Lord Eshwara Shiva Linga is present inside the temple and the idol is Udhbhava Murthy. One of the speciality of this place is that there is a neem tree in front of the temple and the leaves taste sweet . During the night of Shivaratri Festival it is believed that Ancient Godly Sri Rushi Muni sit around the small pond and chant mantra the whole night. This sound has been heard by local residents. There is also a huge depth Gavi on top of the hill which is now home to wild animals. Sunrise and Sunset looks beautiful from here. Forest area, hence late night trekking and camping is restricted. Overall the blessings of almighty Lord Shiva and tranquillity of this place, makes this a must visit trekking place with friends and family
