The Unknown and Phenomenal Shivara Gudda Betta is about 60km from Mysuru, located in Shivara village. Ancient Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Swamy Temple is present midway of the hill. There are stone steps that leads all the way to the top of the hill. The view from top is eye soothing. From the temple, one can trek further above. At the top of the hill, there is a old building which used to be matta of Sri Swamiji who used to look after this place. Now Sri Swamiji Basadi can be found below the hill. There is a tunnel that connects the temple and the shivara village which is about 3km stretch. The idol inside the temple is udhbhava murthy. Ancient Place where Sri Rishi Muni used to tapas. Cheetah area hence late night trekking or camping is restricted. All age group of people can easily climb till the temple. Sunrise looks beautiful from here. Overall the blessings of Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Swamy and the mesmerising abundant heavenly nature beauty of this place makes this a must visit trekking place with friends and family
