The Unknown and Tranquil Gayatri Dam is about 174km from Bengaluru, 207km from Mysuru, located in Gayatripura. There is muddy road from the main thar road that leads all the way to the dam. The water falling from the dam is a treat to watch. The dam is filled by the rain water. One can walk on the bund and ride the vehicles on top. Ideal place for Swimming, Fishing and playing in water. Sunset looks beautiful from here. Overall a must visit picnic place with friends and family
