The unknown and calm Kappadi Kshetra is 49km from Mysuru, 187km from Bengaluru.10km from Krishnarajanagara town. One can really enjoy playing in water with peace and calm surrounding the place.Birds like kingfishers, egrets, cormorants and darters (snake birds) can be spotted. The shrine of Siddappaji is present in Kappadi. Every year between Shivarathri and Ugadi festival, fair is conducted here where hundred of devotees gather and offer their prayings. The place is sorrounded by tress, sand and rocks thus making it an ideal picnic spot. Fishing is allowed here. The road to Kappadi is very nice.Overall one can sit on the rocks or the steps and watch the Cauvery beautiful river flow all day long
