The unknown and Eye soothing Heaven Bottom or Doddakanya Mine Pit Lake is about 16 km from Mysuru, 1 km from Doddakanya village. The road to this place is good. Once you enter this place one needs to go through a muddy stone trail to reach the heart of this place. Previously this place use to be Tata mines. Now mines has stopped and rain water has filled the mines. It is a treat to watch from above, gives one a heavenly feeling as if you are in a paradise. There are roads made on either side, hence one can walk and explore further. If you walk further lots of sand can be seen, gives one a feeling as if you are on a desert or beach. Lots of peacock can be seen here. The mine is set to be believed 200 ft below from the filled water . Hence do not get into the water for swimming or playing. Ideal place for Photography. One of a kind place, best suited for cycling early morning or evening to this place and enjoy the Sunrise and Sunset. After 6 pm no one is allowed to this place and the people are asked to leave after 6 pm from this place.
